The UAB hosts the 'Archéosexisme' exhibition
The Faculty of Philosophy and Arts at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is organizing a series of academic and cultural activities to raise awareness and foster debate on sexism in the field of archaeology.

From August 26 to October 15, 2025, the Newspaper Archives will host the Archéosexisme (Catalan) exhibition, while the Degree Hall will be the venue for three key events: a roundtable discussion on sexism in archaeology (September 17), a conversation with Júlia Lull Sanz on the representation of women in prehistoric art (September 23), and the screening of the documentary Off the Archaeological Record by screenwriter Paloma Zarzuela, followed by a debate (October 2).
The event is organized by the Department of Prehistory at UAB, in collaboration with the Department of Ancient Sciences and EGEPOA, and is supported by the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Arts.
