Students of the Master’s Degree in European Integration celebrate the 40th anniversary of Spain’s accession to the European Union
On 27 October 2026, students from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) Master's Degree in European Integration took part in a special activity to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Spain's accession to the European Communities (1986–2026).
The activity, organised by the UAB European Documentation Centre, led by Conxi Muñoz, began with a visit to the exhibition "Since 1986: 40 years building Europe together", hosted at the UAB Social Sciences Library.
The students then took part in an interactive workshop, where they were challenged to complete a series of activities and answer questions related to the history of European integration, the institutions of the European Union and Spain's role in the European project.
The activity gave participants the opportunity to test their knowledge in a dynamic, engaging and participatory way. Three students ended up winning the workshop, and we would like to congratulate them on their participation and excellent results.
The Faculty of Law and the Master's Degree in European Integration would like to express their gratitude to the European Documentation Centre and, in particular, to Conxi Muñoz for organising this initiative, which has helped bring the history of European integration closer to our students and to reflect on four decades of Spain's participation in the European project.
