Patricia González Prado awarded the 2026 Nativitat Yarza Feminist Studies Grant alongside Anna Morero Beltrán
Professor Patricia González Prado, from the Department of Political Science and Public Law at the UAB, has been awarded the 2026 Nativitat Yarza Feminist Studies Grant, together with Anna Morero Beltrán, a professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Barcelona.
The grant has been awarded for the project “The Right to Information in Access to Voluntary Termination of Pregnancy in Catalonia: Barriers, Practices and Inequalities”, a research project that aims to analyse real access to voluntary termination of pregnancy in Catalonia and identify the barriers, practices and inequalities that may hinder the effective exercise of this right.
The project adopts an interdisciplinary approach that combines legal analysis, the review of protocols and materials, content analysis, and fieldwork with professionals. The research seeks to generate empirical evidence to inform improvements in public policies and informational resources aimed at ensuring free, informed and equitable access to sexual and reproductive rights.
The Nativitat Yarza Feminist Studies Grant, promoted by the Josep Irla Foundation, aims to support original research in the field of social sciences that contributes to advancing equality and the full exercise of women's citizenship.
The Faculty of Law warmly congratulates Patricia González Prado and Anna Morero Beltrán on this recognition and on their contribution to feminist, legal and socially engaged research.
