Last Tuesday, the UAB Faculty of Law hosted the graduation ceremony for the 2025–2026 cohort of the Master's Degree in European Integration, in a particularly meaningful event featuring Viviane Reding, former Vice-President of the European Commission.
The closing lecture, entitled Current and Future Challenges of the EU: Rule of Law, Democracy and Future Direction of European Integration, offered a timely reflection on the main challenges facing the European Union at a crucial moment for the future of the European project. Her address highlighted the importance of continuing to uphold the Union's founding values, maintaining a strong commitment to the rule of law, and preserving a democratic, cohesive Europe capable of responding to global challenges.
The ceremony also celebrated the academic and personal achievements of the Master's students, who have now completed a specialised programme in European integration.
