During the second semester, the Argumentation and Debate Group (GAD) once again achieved outstanding results in debate competitions held across Spain, reaching the final round in almost every tournament it entered and further establishing itself as one of the country's most competitive university debate clubs.

The first major achievement came at the XI BP Murcia, held in February 2026, where Andreu Garcia Raurell finished as runner-up and was recognised as the tournament's second-best speaker.

A few days later, the GAD competed in the La Regenta Tournament in Gijón. The team achieved excellent results: Oriol Sala and Eudald Garcia reached the tournament final, while Oriol Sala was named the competition's third-best speaker. UAB was also represented on the adjudication panel, with Andreu Garcia serving as an adjudicator and judge, and Malak Benchafii participating as a judge.

In March 2026, the club also competed in the VI BP Complu, organised by the Complutense University of Madrid. Once again, Andreu Garcia Raurell reached the final, finishing as runner-up and receiving the award for third-best speaker.

In April 2026, the GAD took part in the V BP UB, hosted by the University of Barcelona, with a delegation of ten teams. Oriol Sala Palos and Eudald Garcia Raurell reached yet another final, while Oriol Sala Palos was recognised as the tournament's sixth-best speaker. Alejandro Molina and Marina Margalef also participated as judges.

Later that month, the UAB hosted the eighth edition of GAD-UAB, a national debate tournament that brought together more than 120 participants from across Spain. The GAD played a key role in organising the event while also entering more than seven teams into the competition. Andreu Garcia Raurell reached the final and was named Best Speaker of the tournament.

June began with the V BP SEPI, organised by Fundación SEPI in Madrid, where the GAD was represented by the teams of Biel Sala and Joana Iñiguez, and Oriol Sala Palos and Eudald Garcia Raurell. On this occasion, Oriol Sala Palos and Eudald Garcia Raurell advanced to the semi-finals, while Oriol Sala Palos was recognised as the tournament's second-best speaker.

Also in June, the GAD competed in the PreCMUDE, one of the most demanding preparatory tournaments of the season. The team formed by Oriol Sala Palos and Eudald Garcia Raurell qualified for the final, confirming the club's excellent form in one of the year's most competitive events.

These achievements were further strengthened by the club's success in novice competitions, aimed at debaters with less than one year of experience. In this category, the GAD won three tournaments: Aquinas-Roncali, won by Joana Iñiguez and Biel Sala; the VIII GAD-UAB, where Lisa Ana Kamel and Sebastián Salazar claimed victory; and the 2026 Catalonia Cup, won by Abril Pérez. These victories highlight the tremendous potential of the club's new generation of debaters and reinforce its promising future.

Once again, the GAD concludes the academic year with outstanding results that reflect the high level of its students and their commitment to keeping both the club and the university among the leading institutions on the national and international debating circuit.

The club is now preparing to compete in the World Universities Debating Championship in Spanish (CMUDE), which will be held in Quito, Ecuador, at the end of July.
