The Faculty of Law hosts the 2nd Teaching Innovation Conference on teaching, technology and law
The Faculty of Law at the UAB hosted the 2nd Teaching Innovation Conference, a meeting that brought together faculty members and the university community to reflect on and share experiences in legal education in the context of technological transformation and educational innovation.
On Friday, 12 December 2025, the Faculty of Law at the UAB held the 2nd Teaching Innovation Conference, entitled “Teaching, technology and law: experiences and reflections from an innovation perspective”. The event took place in the Aula Magna and brought together faculty members and members of the university community interested in improving teaching methodologies in the legal field.
The conference was opened with an address by Dr. Stefania Gombini, Professor of Legal History, and included the presentation of the book Innovación en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje del Derecho: entre la tradición dogmática y los desafíos del siglo XXI, by Dr. Montserrat Solé, Dr. Zuley Fernández and Dr. Santiago Robert. Copies of the book were also presented to Dr. Susana Navas, Dean of the Faculty of Law (UAB) from 2022 to 2025, and to Dr. Ricardo Esteban, the current Dean of the Faculty.
The opening lectures were delivered by Dr. Marc Abraham Puig, Coordinator for Quality, Teaching Innovation and Promotion at the Faculty of Law (UAB), and by Dr. Alessandro Lalli (UdG), who presented the experience of the Law Innovation Laboratory as an example of the integration of tradition and teaching innovation.
The programme continued with two round tables devoted to the contributions of Professors Montserrat Iglesias (Administrative Law), Anna Capellà (Constitutional Law), Sandra Camacho (Civil Law) and Cristina Blasi (Public International Law), from the Faculty of Law at the UAB.
The conference concluded with the closing lecture by Dr. Josep Cañabate, Director of the IRISLAB Legal Clinic (UAB) and Coordinator of the Innovadret group 2022–2025, followed by the institutional closing session delivered by Dr. Alfredo Ramírez Nárdiz, Professor of Constitutional Law.
This second edition reinforces the Faculty of Law’s commitment to teaching innovation, interdisciplinary debate and the critical integration of technology in legal education.
