Next March 2nd, 2026 at 12:30 h, in the Boardroom, the seminar “Rethink sexual consent: autonomy and non-odal contexts” will be held, by Cristina Valega Chipoco.
The speaker is a doctoral researcher at Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law and member of the research group on Law, Gender and Sexuality (DEGESE) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
The session will critically analyze the legal concept of sexual consent, putting the focus on the notion of autonomy in non-ideal contexts, characterized by structural and dynamic inequalities of power. The seminar is framed in the current debates of feminist legal theory and contemporary criminal law.
