Legalisation of the electronic academic certificate
You must request the electronic academic certificate from the academic office through the following online procedure. Once you have the signed certificate, you must send it by email to legalizaciones.cat@correo.gob.es, prior to the date of your scheduled appointment so that they can verify the authenticity of the document.
To avoid unnecessary travel, it is recommended not to book an appointment until the High Inspectorate of Education has confirmed that the document previously sent by email is correct.
On the day of the appointment, you must bring the printed certificate, as a rubber stamp will be applied when it is legalised.
Students residing abroad (including Andorra) do not need to travel in person to the High Inspectorate of Education in Barcelona for the signature recognition procedure. This procedure with the Ministry of Universities can be carried out at the different Spanish embassies and consulates.
Legalisation of the academic certificate (unfinished studies)
If you have not completed your studies and need to legalise an academic certificate stating the studies you have completed at the UAB, you cannot use the electronic academic certificate.
In this case, you must request a personal academic certificate with a handwritten signature from the authorised officer of the centre through the following online procedure. This handwritten certificate is only issued in Catalan or Spanish.
To legalise this handwritten certificate, you must go to the following notary office:
