La Draga

UAB

The headquarters of the UAB Archeology Campus of La Draga, is located in Banyoles, Pla de l'Estany, Girona. Opened in November 2014, it is the result of more than 15 years of close collaboration between the AGREST Research Group (CSIC-UAB), the Milà i Fontanals Institute of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the Museum of Archeology of Catalonia and the City Council of Banyoles. The Neolithic park of La Draga is an extension of the Banyoles Archaeological Museum, an institution that is responsible for its management and coordination. Teaching, research and archaeological works are carried out by the Higher Council for Scientific Research (IMF, Barcelona), the UAB and the Archeology Museum of Catalonia.

The headquarters consists of three facilities where research and teaching are developed, as well as the dissemination of the Cultural Heritage of the Pla de l'Estany. Various activities are also organized and executed from the different facilities:

  •     The lakeside reservoir of La Draga
  •     The Neolithic Park of La Draga
  •     The Archaeological Museum of Banyoles
