Besora's Castle site

Seu del Castell de Besora

The UAB Archaeology Campus at the Besora Castle monumental complex was inaugurated in 2017 after more than 10 years of collaboration between the UAB Department of Antiquity and Middle Age Studies, the Osteobiography Research Group (GROB) at the Biological Anthropology Unit in the UAB Department of Animal Biology, Plant Biology and Ecology, the ATICS S.L. company, the Private Foundation of the Besora Castle Monumental Complex, the Friends of Bisaura Association, Santa Maria de Besora Local Council and the Government of Catalonia. It is used for archaeological research and specific teaching in the field of anthropological analysis through paleopathology courses that have been held since 2000.
