1^ST ICTA-UAB SPRING SYMPOSIUM

About
ICTA-UAB is a multidisciplinary research center with a vibrant community of scientists working on different aspects of the environmental sciences, studying complex issues that range from ocean dynamics to socio-ecological interactions and doing so from a myriad of perspectives, from engineering to economics, from modelling to anthropology.

This Symposium aims at feeding into these interdisciplinary conversations by creating an opportunity to get to know other fields of work at ICTA-UAB and enabling networking between/with ICTA-UAB researchers. Moreover, it specifically targets early career researchers, providing an opportunity to gain experience in presenting research to a diverse audience.

Contributions
Scientists working at ICTA-UAB and with less than 5 years of post-doctoral experience (including PhD students) are invited to share their latest findings in a way that is understandable by their fellows working in other disciplines. An abstract of maximum 500 words and a short bio (see template here) should be submitted and will be assigned either to poster or oral presentation formats by the scientific committee. We will favor submissions presenting results that have not been yet presented at ICTA-UAB in any seminar.

Note that the best oral and poster contributions will receive a prize consisting of funding for publishing those results in an open access journal or for presenting them at an international conference.
