In this teach-in I show how and why Palestine is an issue of central relevance to feminist politics today, and what a feminist perspective illuminates about Israel’s ongoing genocide of Palestinians. I will argue that a feminist lens allows us to see that Israel’s genocide against Palestinians is not new, but rather an accelerated mode of biopolitical violence. I will further show how a feminist perspective helps us understand Israel’s genocide in gendered, racialized and sexual terms, by reviewing Israel’s homonationalist politics, its instrumentalization of rape as a form of sexual violence, and its long-term reproductive violence against Palestinians, all amidst an intensification of ecocide, urbicide, and scholasticide.
