Friday 1 March the UAB will be holding its virtual fair on minors, with information sessions for each minor offered by the lecturers coordinating the programmes. Registration now open!

Fira Virtual de Mínors de la UAB

If you are studying a bachelor's degree at the UAB, you can also sign up for a specialisation! Don't miss our general session: “What are specialisations?”

The UAB minors fair offers you the opportunity to see how the coordinator of each minor explains it from top to bottom, and you can ask as many questions as you want. It will take place on the morning of Friday 1 March and includes a first general session to explain what minors are and then a separate session for each one of the minors. The sessions are short: 30 minutes each. And the whole fair is virtual: to attend you must register in advance.

But... what is a minor? We will explain it in detail in the first information session of the fair, which is called "What are minors?", but we will give you a brief summary here: all UAB degrees allow you to choose optional subjects, which can be from your degree or from another degree. If you choose subjects from among the those that form a minor, you can get your degree and, in addition, specialise in a more specific discipline.

In other words, a minor is a university itinerary organised by a UAB centre and aimed at students from different undergraduate degrees. The credits taken in the minors are part of the total number of credits required to obtain the degree and are considered as optional credits. The minors are accredited and included in the EDS (European degree supplement), but the most important thing is not this accreditation, but the fact of adding to your undergraduate education a complementary and additional training.

So what do you say, are you interested in a minor? The UAB offers 20 minors, organised by six different faculties:
