The Catalan Association of Families with Boys and Girls with Learning Difficulties is a non-profit association that was founded by a group of parents with the aim of helping, offering support, and bringing together three pillars considered basics in the treatment of Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) for these children: families, education centres and Education Professionals.

On 1 October, the AFDACAT held its first meetings with education professionals, families and university and secondary school students. The meetings were entitled “Attention to Diversity in Tutorial Plans for Students in Public and Private Universities of Catalonia”.

The visit to the UAB was a way to share with the AFDACAT the work that has been conducted at university in terms of inclusion thanks to the UAB's PIUNE supoprt service. In a meeting with representatives ofthe association, Vice Rector for Students and Employability Anabel Galán-Mañas and PIUNE Director Judit Oliver posed a series of joint actions that will pave the way for collaborations with the aim of strengthening the support given to students with learning difficulties.
