The Xarxa Vives d'Universitats network is launching the fourth edition of the Via Universitaria programme, which focuses on access, learning conditions, expectations and returns to university studies, covering the period 2023-2025. The study analyses the living conditions of students, their ways of studying, their connection with the university, their cultural habits and economic conditioning factors, as well as their expectations, values and beliefs in relation to higher education.

Students

Between February and March 2024, the twenty participating universities (including the UAB) will send out a survey to more than 300,000 students. The study collects data on student trajectories from a triple perspective: equity in access to higher education, the transformation of students' reality as a result of an increasingly diverse social environment, and the quality of teaching and learning methodologies.

The programme team is made up of six working groups that bring together more than seventy specialists from a wide range of disciplines. Different members of the UAB are involved both in the advisory board (Anabel Galán, Vice Rector for Alumni and Employability) and in the research team (Ingrid Noguera, Helena Troiano, Albert Sánchez-Gelabert and Marina Elías), and the technical quality team (María Paz Álvarez).

The 2023-2025 edition of Via Universitaria is led by the Xarxa Vives d'Universitats network and it is the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Catalonia (AQU) who assumes its technical direction. The programme is also funded by the Andorran Agency for Quality in Higher Education (AQUA), the Valencian Agency for Evaluation and Foresight (AVAP), and the Government of Catalonia.
