UAB FM was a great success!
The UAB FM 2016 was a resounding success! Yet another year, and for more than 20 years now, the UAB brought together thousands of people to enjoy the most involving, political and cohesive festival in the university community.

More than 20 student societies and UAB teaching and service staff took part in the Entities Fair. Throughout the campus, there were plenty of activities, such as the castellers —traditional Catalan human towers—, and the sports exhibition by the UAB Quidditch Club. Once again this year, the Observatory for Equality fostered a sexism-free festival under the motto “No siguis paparra” (keep your hands to yourself) using the #FMLliuredAssetjamenthashtag, among other actions. In Plaça del Coneixement, there were two music stages, more than 50 student stalls and other activities that also aimed to promote a sexism-free festival.
The model of waste management and responsible consumption at the FM was also a success. Sustainability at the festival was based on three measures: the exchange of glass containers (cups, bottles, etc.), collaboration of the student stalls in waste management and the use of reusable cups. The reduction of environmental impact is now a distinctive feature of the UAB FM.
The key to such success was the university community’s co-responsible attitude. In fact, the festival could not have happened without the help of a huge number of students, student societies and UAB staff who helped with the organization. Thanks to everyone who made the FM possible!
