From 18 to 22 April, the UAB organises a new edition of the Erasmus Staff Week, where administrative members of different European universities spend a week at the UAB. The group was received on Monday by the Vice Rector for International Relations Lluís Quintana.

Throughout the week, 21 professionals from universities in 13 European countries will become familiar with the UAB campus and some of the most important aspects of its organisation and services. In addition, they will learn about UAB procedures when aiding students and administrative and services staff participating in the Erasmus+ programme. Participants will be able to give presentations about their home universities and the work they do in order to exchange experiences and new ideas in the management of international student and staff exchanges.

The UAB organises these activities since 2008. Visiting the university this year are people from the Czech Republic, France, Portugal, Germany, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Croatia, Iceland, Greece and Turkey.

The Erasmus programme includes training stays from university staff from other universities in Europe. The objective of the programme is for European universities to exchange experiences and open up common collaboration spaces within the European Higher Education Area and facilitate staff from different countries to share organisation methods, experiences and practices in other institutions with the aim of improving work structures and methods.
