The UAB to host an international volunteering fair #TornaCanviada
On Tuesday 14 February, Lafede.cat organises the 9th edition of the #TornaCanviada Fair at the UAB's Plaça Cívica, where different international volunteering proposals will be presented. The FAS will be offering information on university volunteering tasks.
From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the UAB's Plaça Cívica will be the meeting point for the 9th edition of the #TornaCanviada Fair, organised by la fede.cat (Federation of Entities for Global Justice). It will be ab opportunity to discover first-hand the different proposals international volunteering organisations have, as well as clear up any doubts or questions related to how tasks are planned, what training is needed and requirements to sign up as a volunteer.
The Plaça Cívica will have stands in which 9 entities (Associació Acció Internacional Action Peace (IAP), Associació Catalana per la Pau (ACP), Bosco Global, Enginyeria Sense Fronteres, FISC, Intered Catalunya, SED Catalunya, Servei Civil Catalunya and Setem Catalunya) will present different international volunteering proposals in 26 different countries: Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, the Philippines, Mexico, Paraguay, and many others. These proposals are based on solidarity stays, which allow participants to form part of a project which combines discovering their surroundings with dedication to a volunteer project or accompanying human rights' defenders.
The UAB's Fundació Autònoma Solidària, which has participated in the organisation of this fair, will also be present to offer university members volunteering proposals within the UAB and, in specific, to talk about the European Voluntary Service programme.
