The UAB ranks first in Spain in Medicine

The Times Higher Education recently published the results of its Subject Rankings 2018 in the field of Medicine (“clinical, pre-clinical and health”), in which the UAB occupies position 78 worldwide and ranks number one in Spain; and in Life Sciences, in which the UAB ranks among the top 200 worldwide and is the second in Spain, after the UB.

The ranking, which in its general edition published in September placed the UAB in position 147 worldwide, highlights the research quality of the UAB, measured using the impact of scientific papers, with a score of 89.5 over 100.

For the overall evaluation 13 performance indicators are used: calibrated to offer balanced and comprehensible comparisons. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings are one of the most prestigious worldwide rankings. Data is gathered, analysed and verified by the SCOPUS worldwide database provider, belonging to Elsevier.
