The UAB once again celebrates Sant Jordi on campus
After two years of not being able to celebrate Sant Jordi on campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, once again the UAB is preparing to celebrate it on Wednesday 27 April. This will be the first time in two years that different associations will be able to participate in a fair without any restrictions. The Sant Jordi Fair will take place at the Plaça Cívica, in front of the Newspaper Archive, from 12 noon to 6 p.m., and will include activities, books and roses.
The fair will be a place to reflect the diversity of the UAB's associations, and will include many activities, books and roses. The elDirectori member associations have prepared the following activities for Wednesday 27 April:
Associació Gats Campus | The association that takes care of the cats living on campus will be present to receive any cat food donations, and will be selling second-hand books and toys for cats.
AIESEC | This association promotes the SDGs included in the UN's 2030 Agenda and offers information on how UAB students can volunteer or sign up for work placements abroad.
Associació El Musell | Trivia quiz on animals and ecology; winners get a UAB bag for every answer they get right. Awards ceremony for the winners of the Sant Jordi Literary Competition.
Federació Nacional d’Estudiants de Catalunya | Activities to foster the use of Catalan and information about the association.
Assemblea d’Estudiants Progressistes | Solidarity Book Sale and language trivia quiz.
1 p.m. Conference on the current state of the use of Catalan at University with AEP and Plataforma per la Llengua.
Gamers UAB | Video games and information on the association.
CRUAB | Board games and information on the association.
JMUAB | Book sale, Arabic calligraphy workshop and free sweets.
Grups Bíblics Universitaris | Free roses and Q&A sessions.
Front d’Estudiants | Second-hand book sale.
Club Bàdminton Bellaterra | Badminton matches open to all those interested in participating.
Assemblea Llibertària UAB-FEL | Book sale.
Assemblea Ecologista | Clothing exchange and actions against food wastage.
Jornada Asiàtica | Information on Asian-related activities by: Associació d’Estudiants Xinesos, Club Asiàtic de la UAB, Raikantopiini and Korean Club.
Colectivo de Estudios Latinoamericanos de Barcelona | Association members will share their experiences on researching into topics related to Latin America with trivia quizes, music, and a book sale with some of the authors present.
