Imatge de l'estudiant de la Facultat de Veterinària, Richard Browse

The Dean’s Team of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, led by Dean Manel López, wishes to accompany Richard Browse’s family in these difficult times and shares the heartfelt words written by his friend and fellow student of the Faculty, Queralt Ambudio:

“No one is born knowing they will leave a mark, but some people come into the world with something different.

Richard had — a gaze that seemed to see beyond. From a young age, he always showed a deep sensitivity towards animals: he loved to observe them, listen to them — but above all, to understand them.

If we had to describe Richard in colours, one shade alone would never be enough. He was a composition of contrasts and harmonies.

He was the green of those who know how to wait, who nurture without demanding, who accompany without imposing. He was the blue of serenity, of a clear mind, of a friend who knows how to be present without making noise. He was the orange of creativity, always imagining, dreaming in his own unique way. The noble grey of quiet wisdom — the kind that knows not everything can be understood right away. And the white of someone who never needed masks, because his truth was enough.

He had the gift of giving meaning to the little things: a shared walk, a mid-afternoon conversation, or simply a coffee with a chocolate croissant.

All of us who had the privilege of walking a part of life’s path with him have felt the love expressed through all these colours. Richard never wanted to be the centre of attention, and yet, he became the one we all looked at.

Without even realising it, you sowed and nurtured so many seeds of friendship — and today, they blossom with strength, in a rainbow of infinite colours. You were always one of a kind. You will always be with us.

Your body may be gone, but your essence still shines bright in the football team of Los Pietrains. And the bees will continue gathering nectar to make that sweet and marvellous honey you helped to harvest through the UABee project.

We will pay a small tribute to him on Friday 29 August at the Sabadell Funeral Home. At 3 p.m. There will be a room for the wake, and at 4 p.m. the ceremony will take place.

We love you.

From all those with whom you planted the gift of friendship.

Queralt Ambudio”
