The Faculty of Communication Studies to follow the Oscars live
Once again, the Student Coordinating Body (OCA) of the Faculty of Communication Studies at the UAB is organising a Night of the Oscars, in which students can follow the ceremony live and participate in a series of fun, Oscar-related activities. The meeting will take place on Sunday 10 March from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Monday.
This initiative was started in 2016, and this year is the second time it is being held after the covid-19 pandemic. Last year it was a success and in 2024 it is expected to be a success as well given that the 200 tickets available for the student body have already been sold. Admission is free for teaching and research staff. The event will be held in the Aula Magna of the Faculty and the different activities, contests and games will take place in different areas of the faculty.
The OCA has prepared games such as a tombola, the Oscar pool, a karaoke and a film contest. There will be a prize for the best karaoke performance and a prize for the best TikTok of the night, and the person with the most correct categories in the film contest will win three free months of Filmin. In addition, attendees dressed in costume will be eligible to win the prize for best costume of the night.
