The debate forms part of the series on artificial intelligence, ethics and citizen participation, entitled “Intel·ligència artificial, ètica i participació ciutadana”, organised with the support of the Obra Social laCaixa. It is divided into three main themes: for whom, how and in accordance to what will autonomous cars make decisions? Will car buyers or those in risk be able to choose the parametres? How will it be decided who is at risk and who is not?

The event will include the participation of CVC researcher and UAB lecturer Antonio María Lopez; UAB researcher in ethics and robotics Núria Vallès; Director of Metropolitan Transport Pere Torres;  CEO of SocialCar Marta Alarcón and Director of Innovation at IDIADA José Manuel Barrios.

Their contributions will help to shed light on the changes citizens will have to expect when owning a smart car, the model of car of the near future, and how cities and metropolitan areas are preparing for this big change.
