The 2026 Arcadi Oliveres Awards for Final Degree Projects (TFG) with a Global Justice component (10th edition) and the awards for Final Degree Projects using Service Learning (SL) methodology (6th edition) have closed the submission period with a high level of participation.

candidatures premis TFG

The calls have received almost 100 applications from students from all faculties and schools of the UAB who, during the past academic year, completed a Final Degree Project with a social impact on a topic related to global justice and sustainable development, or carried out using the service-learning methodology. Among the submissions are research on the eco-social crisis, historical memory, human rights, migration and racism, populism and disinformation, health and care, artificial intelligence and ethics, environmental justice and animal welfare.

These awards recognise the commitment of students from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona to social transformation, global justice, and addressing social and environmental challenges through academic research and service-learning.

Once the submission period has ended, the assessment phase begins, carried out by evaluators who will consider aspects such as academic quality, innovation, and the social impact of the submitted proposals.

The call resolutions will be made public during the second semester of the 2026/27 academic year on the relevant websites. Furthermore, an awards ceremony is planned for spring for all the awardees, at which the winning projects will be announced by area of knowledge, and the winners will receive a grant of 250 euros.

This is an initiative promoted by the UAB's Solidarity Foundation with the support of the Barcelona City Council and as part of the Pluriversitat project.
