Talk on professional options for Spanish language studies
The field of Spanish language and literature includes different professional options. On 25 March at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, three experts from this field will speak on the different sectors Spanish philologists can choose professionally.
On 25 March at 4 pm the conference hall Frederic Udina of the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts will host a conference with experts of the sector who will speak on the role philologists play in the professional world.
The conference is organised by the Department of Spanish Studies, and is especially addressed to students interested in discovering professional possibilities and experiences belonging to the field of Spanish language and literature.
Agustín Sánchez, from Vicens Vives publishing house, will begin the session with a conference on how books are brought to life, entitled "El filólogo en la editorial o cómo traer libros al mundo". Following him, Dolors Poch, professor from the Department of Spanish Studies, will speak on the analysis of the human voice in courts of law in "¿Es usted culpable? El análisis de la voz humana como prueba pericial". Finally, Alba Igarreta, researcher from the Department of Spanish Studies, will speak on teaching Spanish as a foreign language in "Una española en el mundo: enseñar lengua en Macao".
