The UAB opens a registration period for those interested in becoming a Mentor, an initiative that seeks to facilitate the integration of international students at the UAB.
Mentors wanted for the first semester of 2024/2025
In September new international students arrive to study for an academic year at the UAB and we want to offer them academic, social and cultural support through local students, who will become UAB mentors.
The tasks of mentors consist of being in contact with the international students assigned to them, both before their arrival at the UAB and throughout the semester, supporting them with any paperwork they may need and with any possible problems that may arise. Participating as a mentor offers a unique opportunity to make new friends, discover new cultures, interact with people from different countries and practice other languages, as well as sharing your culture and what life is like on campus as a UAB student.
Mentoring is a great way to develop intercultural skills, enrich your curriculum and create new friendships. Registrations are open until 9 June 2024, and can be found at the following link.
