Samuel Reyes appointed new executive administrator of the UAB

With a degree in environmental sciences from the University of Girona and a law degree from the UOC, Samuel Reyes (Mataró, 1981) completed his training by taking management development programmes. He has led strategic projects in the public sector and in relation to environmental aspects, with an outstanding capacity for the management and implementation of effective policies. He has experience in negotiating with government agencies and managing large budgets. He dedicated a large part of his professional career to working at the Catalan Water Agency, one of the government's most important public companies, of which he was director between 2021 and 2024.

This appointment, a strategic decision by the UAB Governing Team, responds to the challenges of deploying the Governing Plan for the next five years which, in the words of the rector Javier Lafuente, "will allow us to strengthen the leadership of the University in a context of change." Samuel Reyes will replace Jaume Tintoré, who has been the executive administrator of the UAB for the past nine years.
