Restructuring of the UAB Governing Team

Tatiana Rovira is the new Vice Rector for Studies and Quality Assurance, and Laura Santamaria is the new Vice Rector for International Relations and Language Policy.

Tatiana Rovira, until now Vice Rector for Quality, has been appointed Vice Rector for Studies and Quality. She is professor in the Department of Basic, Evolutionary and Educational Psychology and part of the Stress and Health Research Group. Her research has been mainly focused on stress coping in areas such as nursing and the communication of bad news, or the management of everyday stress and its relationship with well-being. In the Faculty of Psychology, she was Vice-Dean of Academic Affairs and Teaching Quality and, between 2019 and 2022, Dean of the centre.

Laura Santamaría, who until now has held the position of Rector's Commissioner for Language Policy, assumes the position of Vice Rector for International Relations and Language Policy. She is professor in the Department of Translation and Interpreting and East Asian Studies. She was Dean of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, where she also lectures. Her research interests are translation, audiovisual translation, intercultural studies and language in the media. She is a member of the consolidated research group Communication and Culture.

The new vice rectors replace Maria Valdés and Màrius Martínez, until now Vice Rector for Studies and Teaching Innovation, and Vice Rector for International Relations, respectively, who have left their positions at their own request.
