Do you want to participate in a photo or drawing contest that gives visibility to interculturalism and diversity in youth? The FAS Entre Joves programme "Looks that Change Stories" wants to show an anti-racist perspective in the university environment. Participants are eligible for prizes valued at more than 50 euros, in addition to the recognition of their work.

Dues mans creuades

The FAS's Entre Joves programme aims to promote a more just, egalitarian, participatory and inclusive society, in which the use of rights is guaranteed for all those who form part of it. Specifically, it works with single migrant youth and young people from the UAB to promote spaces of coexistence, bonding and joint and diverse participation.

The new contest, "Looks that Change Stories", will value the images and drawings that promote interculturality and visibility of the diversity that characterises the youth of Catalan society. The reflection of the diversity of the youth linked to the spaces of the university from a critical intercultural and/or anti-racist perspective will be positively valued.

To participate in the contest you must be between 16 and 30 years old. Entries must be in the format of an image, either a photograph or drawing, which must be accompanied by a title or a brief explanatory text (maximum 2 lines, 180 characters). The images should be sent by e-mail to fas.entre.joves@uab.cat, with the title "Looks that Change Stories contest" (“concurs mirades que canvien narratives”) before 21 April.

There will be two votes, that of the jury, made up of four people from the FAS and the UAB, and that of the popular vote, which will be both online (through the FAS social network Instagram) and in person (on the day of La Comunitària, to be held on 23 April).

The winners can opt for various prizes: a gift card from the ethical shop Diaambar, valued at 30 euros; clay balls loaded with seeds; and a certificate of recognition.

Contest rules can be consulted at this link.
