New archaeology campus in La Noguera
Josep Maria Masagué, Mayor of Camarasa, Ferran Sancho, Rector of the UAB, and Rafael Mora, President of the Association for Research and Dissemination of Historic Heritage (ARDPH), recently signed a collaboration agreement to create the new UAB Archaeology Campus in La Noguera.
The creation of the UAB Archaeology Campus in La Noguera will facilitate research and scientific developments in the field of archaeology and national heritage. In addition, it will be a crucial element of the region's archaeological heritage with which to disseminate scientific results in academic spheres and to the public in general, while also contributing to the promotion of the Roca dels Bous site as an area of reference.
The signing of the agreement included the presence of Montserrat Miret, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Culture of the Camarasa City Council; Pilar Dellunde, Vice Rector for Research at the UAB; Manel Sabés, Vice Rector for Institutional Relations and Environment; and Violant Cervera and Antoni Balasch, members of parliament for Lleida.
With the creation of the Archaeology Campus, the UAB aims to contribute to the valorisation of Catalonia's cultural heritage and the work done by archaeological groups in sites around the country.
