Purple Point at the La Comunitària UAB 2022

This year the Observatory is organising the informative Purple Point of La Comunitària, the festive day that will take place at the UAB on 5 October. The Purple Point is the information and service point on gender violence and LGBTIphobic situations at the UAB.

The Purple Point will also carry out prevention and awareness-raising activities thanks to the Purple Point Brigades, the volunteer students of the UAB who have been trained by the Observatory in the workshop "Tools to collaborate in the UAB La Comunitària’s Purple Point". Information about the campaign "We respond to male chauvinist violence ", to prevent male violence in the community, will be available at the Purple Point.

The location of the Purple Point will be in the H&S space (Espai SiS), in the Central Axis between buildings B and C, and will be available throughout the day of La Comunitària, from noon to 4 pm.

We remind everyone that the Observatory will offer information on equality and LGBTIQ policies at its stand at the fair of entities, next to the Newspaper Archives. At the stand, you will be able to find out about the activities, tasks, courses and campaigns carried out by the Observatory.

We will also be holding the third edition of the Fúria Fest, the festival against gender violence, with a contest and a performance by the winning band. The competition is organised by the Observatory and the Community Involvement unit, and it aims to promote feminist musical proposals and encourage the artistic expression of women and LGBTIQ people.

These actions are funded by the State Pact against Gender-based violence of the Ministry of Equality.
