Generating Ideas Programme's third edition gets underway
This year the course focuses on environmental and energy sustainability. With the aim of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, it is addressed to researchers and PhD students of the university. The enrolment period will remain open until 21 September.
The Generating Ideas Programme is an initiative from the UAB Research Park. It is addressed to all UAB researchers and PhD students interested in generating and developing business ideas based on their research projects.
This year's edition will include the sponsorship of three leading firms from the environmental sector: Aqualogy, Carburos Metálicos and Fluidra. These firms have launched several technological challenges for those who wish to participate in the programme without necessarily offering a new idea.
The programme, which will be conducted in the months of October and November, is made up of three phases. The first consists of several creative sessions to generate ideas and give them shape. Once the ideas are defined, professionals with experience in setting up and managing businesses will train the participants, over six sessions, in legal formalities, intellectual property, presentation techniques, marketing, etc., to give them the knowledge they need to prepare their business plans.
Finally, there will be a contest in which all participants will present their project to the sponsoring firms and experts will assess their business ideas. Three winning projects will be selected from all those presented.
The first finalist will receive 2,500 Euros, six months in the business incubation facilities in the UAB Research Park's Eureka Building and mentoring sessions offered by Kic InnoEnergy. The second finalist will receive 1,500 Euros, six months in the business incubation facilities and mentoring sessions. The third finalist will receive 1,000 Euros and mentoring sessions to help them begin to turn their idea into a business opportunity.
Until 21 September, all those interested can enrol at this link.
