A call has been opened for social and environmental entities and public institutions to present project proposals that can be carried out by UAB students using Service-Learning  Methodologies (SLM) and Challenge-Based Methdologies (CBM).

Metodologia ApS i ABR

Service Learning (SL) and Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) are two methodologies that seek to put the university at the service of society and connect, in one single project, student learning with the resolution of real challenges and needs. The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) works to promote these meaningful learning methodologies connected to the area so that students can complement their training by solving social and/or environmental needs found in their immediate surroundings.

In order to work on real situations, entities and institutions are asked to submit needs and challenges that either they themselves or the groups they work with encounter through this form. Proposals can be sent in until Friday 16 February, and they will then be evaluated and the organisation will contact all applicants.

To better understand how these methodologies work, the following videos are available in which, in first person, students, teachers and entities explain the experience of a TFG using SLM or the development of a challenge.

You can also find more information in this guide, on the Service Learning (in Catalan) website, on the Challenges website or by sending an email to aprenentatge.servei@uab.cat.
