A discussion-chat will take place between two former students, journalist Mònica Terribas and scientist Miquel Osset, entitled "The Social Impact of Research. How to Communicate?"

Anyone who has completed their studies at the UAB, are or were part of the faculty or of the administration and services (PAS) staff, are invited to attend this event.

This first meeting of the UAB Alumni will start at 6 pm on Friday, June 20, and will run until late at night. A tourist bus tour through the campus, with a few stops to incorporate faculty members from different faculties, will mark the kick off. Next a group photograph with all attendees is planned at the Columns of the UAB, a characteristic symbol of the university.

At 8 pm, Ferran Sancho, Rector of the UAB, will welcome all Alumni, and then the discussion-chat between two former students, journalist Mònica Terribas and scientist Miquel Osset, will begin. The session is entitled "The Social Impact of Research. How to Communicate?"

The meeting will conclude with a cocktail party entertained with music, from 9 pm, in the Vila-Puig Tower, next to the Vila Universitària. It will be the time for leisure talk, sharing and remembering moments lived at the UAB with former classmates and faculty. At the same time, it will be a space for establishing new relationships and friendships between people linked in one way or another to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
