Edelmira Badillo, new director of the Institute of Educational Studies
The Institute of Educational Sciences carries out activities aimed at the transfer of knowledge in the field of education. Edelmira Rosa Badillo Jiménez, lecturer in the Department of Teaching of Mathematics and Experimental Sciences, is now its new director.
Edelmira Rosa Badillo Jiménez, lecturer in the Department of Teaching of Mathematics and Experimental Sciences, has been appointed new director of the Institute of Educational Studies (ICE) of the UAB.
Badillo teaches at the Faculty of Education (Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education, Interuniversity Master's Degree in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching, as well as the Master's Degree in Educational Research). Previously, she was director of the Department of Mathematics and Experimental Sciences. Her research focuses on educational practice and mathematical activity.
The ICE is a UAB centre dedicated to the development of actions and knowledge transfer in the field of education. Its objectives are the continuous training of teachers and other education professionals, training of instructors, research, technical advice and support for educational projects. Badillo takes over from Professor Anna Cros.
