Dress up in the UAB Charity Running race

On Sunday, December 15th 2019 the UAB will organize the 8th edition of the UAB Charity running race in support of TV3 Marató Foundation. This year, people taking part in the race and the Charity Walk can participate in the Costume contest too.

On Sunday, December 15th 2019 the UAB will organize the 8th edition of the UAB Charity running race in support of TV3 Marató Foundation. This year, people taking part in the race and the Charity Walk can participate in the Costume contest too.

You can participate in the contest individually or as a group. In case you participate as group, it has to be formed by up to 5 members and they have to wear related costumes. Prior to the beginning of the race, participants must register at the information point of the Associations Fair at the Vila Universitària.

The jury, composed by a person from the Dinamització Comunitària department, a person from the foundation Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS) and a person from the  UAB Communication Area. They will award the “individual most original and funniest costume” and the “best group performance”.
The winners will receive a voucher to have access during a year to the UAB Physical Activity Service (SAF): one to the individual price and up to five to the group price, according to the number of members.

Charity running race
The collection of race donations will go to the La Marató Foundation of TV3, which this year is dedicated to rare diseases. 7,000 of these diseases have been studied, each affects at most five people out of every 10,000 and they affect between 300.000 and 400.000 people in Catalonia. Their symptoms are different, but usually they are severe, chronic, degenerative and disabling. 80% of these diseases have genetic origins and they have in common that they are difficult to diagnose, mostly it does not exist an efficient treatment and they have an important impact in social life. 

Run, walk, participate as a volunteer... Alone, with friends or family but do not stop collaborating. WE WAIT FOR YOU at the UAB on December 15!
