The meeting of delegates, held twice a year, offers representatives of the UAB a unique opportunity to learn and share experiences with other representatives.
Jornada de delegats 2 desembre 2015
Delegates are responsible for the academic follow-up that is essential for degrees at our university to properly function and be evaluated . A new regulation was approved in 2013, and that is why the UAB offers two specific training activities a year: the delegates' meeting. Moreover, thanks to registration in el Cens, the student representatives have the university’s full support. The Cens de Delegats i Delegades de grup acadèmic was created to give more importance to the representatives's work and to highlight their role in our university. Last year there were 516 registered delegates and this year approximately 200 delegates have already been registered in el Cens and and receiving the support and the follow-up that this tool offers.

The meeting is a place for delegates to think and learn, and a place to share experiences and doubts of all the faculties of the  UAB. As a result of last year’s meeting, a FAQs for student representatives was created, a tool designed to resolve basic doubts about the role of delegates and their work.

This year's meeting, on 2 December at 3pm, will also offer a space for delegates to work in a group, and will deal with specific issues related to their work. There will be a discussion about how to become a new delegate, the aspirations of new delegates that register for the first time in the Cens (and often for the UAB), and the expectations for students from disadvantaged backgrounds for going to university. The Solidarity Autonomous Foundation (FAS) and UAB Healthy and Sustainable Campus will also participate in the meeting.
