"Co-respondències" exhibition on display at the La Model prison
The artwork created at the Juvenile Justice education centres form part of a workshop organised by the Fundació Autònoma Solidària in collaboration with artist Alter Krapp. The artwork will be on display at the La Model memorial space until 15 January 2023. Entrance is free.
Conceived by artist Alter Krapp, Co-respondències is a creative and participative project conducted at the Juvenile Justice education centres in which students make use of their creativity by putting together collages based on the ideas and stories told by these young people.
In 2019 and 2020, the UAB's Fundació Autònoma Solidària worked in collaboration with Alter Krapp to organise a series of workshops in the education centres Alzina and Can Llupià, where students used magazines, newspapers, images, photographs, acrylic and tempera paint, wax crayons, pencils and markers to create a series of collages representing their personal stories and histories. The collages were then interpreted, elaborated and given the finishing touches at Alter Krapp's studio. These artworks are thus the result of two stages; work done in the centre and the time spent in the studio.
The collages will be on display from 5 December to 15 January at the Memorial Space of the La Model prison (Carrer Entença 155, Barcelona). Entrance is free.
