Brain Awareness Week
The UAB Institute for Neurosciences (INc) has organised several activities as part of Brain Awareness Week 2015. All of them will take place at the Museum of Art (MAC) in Cerdanyola (Carrer de Sant Martí 88). On 13 March the exhibit Cells on Canvas will be inaugurated by Carlos Barcia, Ramón y Cajal researcher at the INc. The exhibit displays a series of spectacular images taken with microscopes. It will be open until 25 March.

The closing session of Brain Awareness Week will take place on 20 March at the conference hall of MAC and is open to all publics. The themes discussed will be "How Do We Store Memories", by Alfredo Miñano, and "Good Psychotropics and Bad Psychotropics", which will be offered by Jordi Ortiz. Both speakers are researchers at the INc.

Brain Awareness Week is a worldwide event coordinated by the Dana Foundation, a private philanthropic organisation based in New York. During this week, schools, research centres and other institutions carry out activities to inform about brain-related research.
