Within the framework of the III Inclusive Artistic Week, the Sala Teatre of the UAB will host on November 27 at 12h the show Bostikianes, a proposal of puppets and music with live singing voice that explores the role of women in different stages of life.

Imatge Bostikianes

Bostikianes is a show conceived and created by Laura Guiteras and Ariadna Martí, and it is born from the need to explain how the role of women in society has been and how it is nowadays, from memory, present and future. To do this, it uses the language of puppets and live music, which allow him to take distance and put humor on various themes.

The show presents the first part of Bostikianes' generational trilogy. The starting point is old age, the woman-memory, represented by Anna Maria Bostik, a grandmother who suffers “musical diogenism”, who cannot help singing, and through music speaks to us about the emotions of a lifetime.

Bostikianes is the result of a research and creation project initiated during quarantine at Nau Bostik, an art and culture space in Barcelona. The show is based on Mrs. Brownie, a project that was born in 2014 by Teatre Nu, where Laura Guiteras and Abel Boquera consolidated themselves as creators of stories sung through the world of puppets.

To attend the show, tickets must be booked in advance on this form, where you can also confirm your attendance at the rest of the events of the III Inclusive Artistic Week.
