App UAB, the University in your pocket
The UAB launches its own App that includes a smart university card (Targeta Universitària Intel·ligent) and other services that make community life at university easier!
The UAB launches its mobile app, the "App UAB", aimed at all members of the university community: students, academic and research staff (PDI), administration and services staff (PAS) and campus-related personnel. The app can be downloaded from online app stores.
Among the services available on the App UAB, besides the normal university information such as academic programmes, news and social networks, the app includes each person's university smart card (Targeta Universitària Intel·ligent, TUI), virtual access system for campus spaces and car parks, UAB libraries, notices, calendar and, according to each user's profile, Campus Virtual, academic marks and records, and access to personal management tasks for UAB staff members.
The TUI includes all indentification elements: name, NIU, group, bar code and information on the most relevant uses of the university card, such as library book loans and accreditation as member of the university for discounts and other advantages. It also contains a specific section on discounts and promotions. The application can also be used to create widgets of both the TUI and the access system to make it easier to use straight from the mobile's screen.
In the coming months, the UAB will be working on improving the app and implementing new services.
The UAB thus reaffirms its commitment to the digital transformation, improves the experience of its members, reduces plastic and reinforces its new university image and the sense of belonging of UAB members, as well as offers a new way of communicating with its community.
Stands have been set up around the UAB campus to inform about the app and help users add their ID photo (users must bring a valid ID card with them) and will be set up on different points of the campus until 26 September, Mondays to Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:

- Faculty of Science and Faculty of Biosciences: Sala de Vidre (C1/068).
- Faculty of Economics and Business Studies: Sala de reunions (B1/017).
- Faculty of Education and Faculty of Translation and Interpreting: Sala de reunions 1, Building G6 (G6/139).
- Faculty of Medicine: Sala M3/318.1 (former computer room M3).
