Anna López passes away
Anna López Vilaplana, member of the UAB administration and services staff, passed away on 4 November 2022. the UAB wishes to express the sadness felt by her loss and its most heartfelt condolences to all those who knew her.
Anna López began to work at the UAB in 1977 as a service assistant and then moved on to work as librarian at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting and at the libraries of Humanities and of the School of Engineering.
Her extrovert character, ability to overcome hardships and her positive attitude, despite many difficulties at some points in her life, rubbed off on others and created strong bonds with her co-workers and other members of the UAB community. Anna had strong viewpoints and was a very generous person, and she died in a peaceful and calm environment, exactly as she wished. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
