His father was present to receive the award and read a few words his son had written in acceptance of the prize, describing the novel as “a modern fable that aims to talk about old questions that have always obsessed us as readers tied to a human condition”.

The 28th Miquel Martí i Pol Poetry Award went to Alexandre Planas for Projeccions. Planas defended the importance of literary awards because “we continue writing even if we cannot make  of it our profession”.

The 14th Caterina Albert Short Story for Young Readers Award went to Mireia Mejías for Apatia. The jury described Mejías' work as a “very well written work with an impecable formality and task explained by a devoted first person who transports us to daily and realist situations”.

The UAB's Aula de Teatre stable group, under the direction of Ricard Gázquez, offered fragments of the work Amor i informació, a theatre text by Caryl Churchill, who aims to foster reflection on the concepts of love and interpersonal relations in a digital communications era.
