The UAB to hold the sixth edition of the Inclusive Art Week
The UAB's University Social Responsibility (RSU) and Culture and Heritage Unit will kick off the sixth edition of the Inclusive Art Week, which will take place from 24 November to 2 December. This annual event aims to raise the visibility of diversity and promote social inclusion through art and culture.
Through a multidisciplinary artistic programme, this edition aims to raise awareness and invite reflection on realities often rendered invisible, such as objectification, gender diversity and identity, as well as the recognition and redress of a cultural legacy that has been concealed. Thus, the programme includes the screening of the short film Kokuhaku by Adrià Guxens; a dance workshop with Núria Guiu, the result of a collaboration with BoFestival; a concert in tribute to Narcisa Freixas and the composers of her century; and a performance by the UAB Community Choir, among other activities.
All these activities are co-organised or have the collaboration and support of various areas and projects at the UAB, such as the official Master's Degree in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising Content, the Department of Art and Musicology, the “Art and Well-being at the University” project from the Department of Teaching of Musical, Artistic and Corporal Expression, the Centre for Studies and Research for an Inclusive Society (CERSIN), and the Counselling and Inclusion Area.
