The UAB-MNACTEC announces a research grant for Master’s Theses for 2026/27
TFM may be submitted covering the various areas that make up the heritage, history, and industrial, scientific, and technical culture of Catalonia.
The UAB-MNACTEC Chair on Heritage, Technology and Society opens a call for research grants for the completion of Master's Degree Dissertations (TFM) for the 2026/27 academic year, for research into the various fields that shape the heritage, history, and industrial, scientific, and technical culture of Catalonia. The grant includes a financial award of €1,000.
Candidates will be able to carry out their work in the various fields that constitute the heritage, history and industrial, scientific and technical culture of Catalonia. Priority research lines linked to the UAB-MNACTEC Chair's strategic projects for 2026/27 will be taken into account; these can be consulted in the rules and regulations of the call.
To ensure that the research yields a tangible benefit for the local area, the research proposal must be validated by one of the 29 museums and heritage sites that make up the MNACTEC Territorial System. You can view the full list at the following link: Museums of the MNACTEC Territorial System.
The application is open to any master's programme. It must include the full name of the person or persons applying for the grant, a project summary of the TFM proposal, a summary of the proposal in Catalan, and a letter of support from one of the MNACTEC Territorial System sites. Proposals may be submitted in any of the official languages of the Spanish State, in French or in English. Applications must be sent to catedra.mnactec@uab.cat
Applications may be submitted individually or collectively, and can be filed until 15/01/2027.
