Jordi Martínez and Carolina Ripollés receive the Serra Húnter award for research and scientific outreach
Carolina Ripollés and Jordi Martínez have been honoured at the Serra Húnter talent recognition event for their achievements in the fields of scientific outreach and research.
Ripollés, lecturer in Nutrition and Bromatology at the UAB, was awarded a Serra Húnter in the category of scientific outreach, while Martínez, professor in Ecology at the UAB, was awarded in the research category. The two professors accepted the award accompanied by Natividad Ramajo, UAB Vice-Rector for Academic Staff, and Albert Ruiz, the Rector's Delegate for UAB Teaching Programming.
The event, held on 29 June, highlighted the contribution of Serra Húnter lecturers to research, teaching, and scientific outreach, as well as their role in generating and transferring knowledge to society.
