The UAB distinguishes actions that promote open science with a call for entries that, with a budget of 5,000 euros, will remain open until 31 July. Academic staff with research functions, technical management, administration and services staff with research recognition, and PhD students from the UAB are eligible to apply.

Premis de Ciència Oberta

The approval of the Open Science Strategy at the UAB and the commitments by the Governing Council in January 2024 include the creation of the Open Science Advisory Committee. This committee leads the strategy based on an action plan, carrying out training and awareness-raising activities throughout the community and working collaboratively and interdisciplinary. One of the actions of this plan was the creation of the UAB Open Science Awards.

For academic staff with research functions or technical staff in management, administration and services with research recognition, a single prize of 3,500 euros will be awarded. For PhD students, there will be a single prize of 1,500 euros. The requirements, the evaluation criteria, and the link to access the application form can be found in the call for entries for the UAB Open Science Awards.
