The University's Auditorium will host on 19 October at 5:00 p.m. a staged concert called “Bach to the Moon”, which combines the talent of the UAB Choir with the ia_muso system created by Matthew Yee-King from Goldsmiths, University of London.

Música i IA

The concert is based on the fictional idea of the birth of a being with artificial intelligence that communicates through sound. The performance will feature Carles Marigó, pianist and creator, Eloi Isern, musician, composer and live coder, and the UAB Chamber Choir, directed by Poire Vallvé.

The work will conclude the day dedicated to musical creativity and artificial intelligence that will take place at the Faculty of Arts & Humanities throughout the day, as part of Innovation Week. This day will include workshops on the composition of artistic works, such as an opera or a piece of video art, which will be held in the morning in the Tarodequinze room, and a round table discussion in the magazine room in the afternoon, with artists, technologists and sociologists to talk about the application of artificial intelligence in music and its advantages and disadvantages. All the activities will feature researchers from different departments of the University.
