  • Identify the contextual economic and financial structure of the market and of businesses in the sports sector, including their governance, in both a static and dynamic sense.
  • Identify different business models in the sports sector from a professional perspective, by paying special attention to management, entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • Determine the sports management strategies and models best suited for specific areas, particularly sponsorship, facilities and sports events.
  • Identify the most suitable marketing strategies for different kinds of sports companies and/or services (facilities, events, products, etc.).
  • Connect the steps involved in creating new (intra)entrepreneurship projects that lead to the creation of businesses and/or models in the sports sector.
  • Explain aspects related to human resources and/or the capabilities of the teams involved in projects in the sports sector, including in specific areas of the sports industry.

  • Design financial plans based on the situation faced by a business or organisation in the sports sector.

  • Analyse the sports sector market, including consumer patterns, competitors, costs, opportunities for generating profit, etc.
  • Design communication actions and activity and product publicity strategies for the sports sector, as well as the results of internal analyses.
  • Manage and plan activities for specific sports, including events, sponsorships and facilities.
  • Draw up business plans related to the sports industry in order to introduce improvements, if necessary.
  • Manage the operations of a company in the sports sector, including decisions regarding offers, human resources, business innovation, growth strategies, etc.


  • Introduce changes to methods and processes in sports management in order to provide innovative responses to society's needs and demands.
  • Take action in the field of sports management by assessing its social, economic and environmental impact.
