New edition of scholarships for people with disabilities
The Piune, the service that helps students with disabilities with their university studies, opens call to apply for the Impuls Scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year.

From Fundació Autònoma Solidària and through the Impuls program, the call to apply for Impuls Scholarships is open. The Impuls scholarships are a monetary grant that guarantees equal conditions to students in a situation of dependency studying in UAB in their university studies.
These scholarships serve the purpose of ensuring that students can attend university through financial aid for a personal assistant during the academic year or for mobility issues in case they have difficulties using public transportation autonomously. This year, the scholarships, granted by the Social Council, have a financial help of €10.000 and each student can receive a maximum of €3.000
To apply for this scholarship, you need the following documentation: a complete standard form of application, a copy of ID or NIE, a copy of an official disability certificate, a copy of the resolution of the Degree of Dependency according to the current legislation, a copy of the university enrollment this course 2020-2021 and a copy of the academic records of the past course.
The deadline to present the required documentation starts on the 3rd of November 2020 and ends on the 16th of November 2020. The standardized form signed, and the other scanned documents must be sent to fas.piune@uab.cat
For students with other financial aids and grants, the Impuls scholarships can be compatible or partially compatible with other economic compensations from private entities or public institutions, as long as the financial assistance doesn’t surpass the student’s expense during the academic year.
This year, the awards' ceremony for the Impuls scholarships will coincide with the United Nations' International Day of Persons with Disabilities and it will take place on the 3rd of December.
The resolution for the final recipients of the scholarship will be published on the official web page of Fundación Autónoma Solidaria or the bulletin board of the PIUNE, the disability, and specific educational needs support service.
